UA Forced Layover Rule

For example, I'm trying to go SEA-SFO-ATL on a Q fare, however there's no Q availability on the last SEA-SFO flight. Can I take the earlier SEA-SFO flight, connecting to the next SFO-ATL flight (which happens to be the next morning), and still qualify for the forced layover rule, or must I somehow get A Q seat on the late SEA-SFO flight?
STOPOVERS UA RULE: 0180
A) STOPOVERS WILL BE PERMITTED ONLY UPON PAYMENT OF THE COMBINATION OF APPLICABLE FARES, OR STOPOVER CHARGES WHEN PROVIDED ON TRANSPORTATION SOLELY WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES, UNLESS THE APPLICABLE FARE PERMITS SUCH STOPOVERS. A STOPOVER, AS USED HEREIN, WILL OCCUR WHEN A PASSENGER ARRIVES AT AN INTERMEDIATE OR JUNCTION TRANSFER POINT ON A FLIGHT OF ANY CARRIER, AND FAILS TO DEPART FROM SUCH INTERMEDIATE OR JUNCTION TRANSFER POINT ON:
1) THE FIRST FLIGHT ON WHICH SPACE IS AVAILABLE; OR,
2) THE FLIGHT THAT WILL PROVIDE FOR THE PASSENGER'S EARLIEST ARRIVAL AT INTERMEDIATE OR JUNCTION TRANSFER POINT(S) OR DESTINATION POINT, VIA THE CARRIER AND CLASS OF SERVICE AS SHOWN ON THE PASSENGER'S TICKET. PROVIDED, HOWEVER, THAT IN NO EVENT WILL A STOPOVER OCCUR WHEN THE PASSENGER DEPARTS FROM THE INTERMEDIATE OR JUNCTION TRANSFER POINT ON A FLIGHT SHOWN IN UA'S OFFICIAL GENERAL SCHEDULES, AND/OR SERVICE PATTERNS AS DEPARTING WITHIN FOUR
HOURS AFTER THE PASSENGER'S ARRIVAL AT SUCH POINT.
So, yes, you should be able to take the earlier SEA-SFO flight with Q class and connect to the next day's SFO-ATL flight.
